Simplifying Sports Betting with a Clean UI, Focused Odds Display, and Personalized League Tracking.
LiveOdds.io was designed to address the cluttered, overwhelming nature of most odds comparison websites. Traditional platforms bombard users with excessive information, tiny text, banners and promotions all over, and disjointed navigation. All of which lead to confusion and lower engagement overtime. My solution focused on stripping away the noise and delivering a simple, intuitive interface that still drives affiliate conversions and user retention.

The goal of the LiveOdds project was to create a user-centric odds comparison platform that challenges the current industry standard of overwhelming, cluttered interfaces. After identifying recurring frustrations among users, such as small, unreadable fonts and disorganized odds table. The vision was to streamline the experience into something intuitive and engaging. This included making odds easier to understand at a glance, ensuring affiliate links were clearly presented without distraction, and providing personalized user experiences through features like favourite league tracking. Ultimately, the project aimed to increase user satisfaction and engagement by reducing complexity and guiding users more efficiently through the betting journey.

Key Findings
Most users found existing sites visually overwhelming and difficult to navigate.

Simplicity was more important than showing every possible betting option.

Solution Proposal
To address the usability and engagement issues found in traditional odds comparison sites, LiveOdds implemented a clean and simplified user interface that focused on one clear set of odds per match. Rather than overwhelming users with excessive numbers, each match card prominently displayed a single odds line, while still giving users the flexibility to choose from multiple affiliate options. A predictive layer was added, using historical data and betting patterns to suggest the safest or highest-yielding bet for each fixture. Additionally, users could personalize their experience by selecting favourite leagues, which streamlined their browsing and increased engagement. These design decisions were all centered around clarity, speed, and reducing the friction between discovering and acting on betting opportunities.
